Hi all -
Found this site while doing research before my interview, and it has proven to be very helpful...I interviewed earlier this month, and am still waiting to hear back from NYCTF. In addition, I applied to Hunters Urban Teacher Residency, and just got a rejection email from them, due to a lack of math and science credits. I am really disappointed, especially since I thought Special Ed only required a Liberal Arts degree (which I have.) I am also worried I may get the same bad news from Teaching Fellows, since the 2 programs seem to be somehow connected - UTR required you to apply to Teaching Fellows in order to be considered for their program. I am not entirely sure what the connection is....has anyone else who applied for both been accepted to Teaching Fellows, but rejected from UTR?
I am trying to keep positive, but it's getting harder by the day (my theory is, if they want me, they would let me know sooner rather than later.)
Also, has anyone who interviewed this month heard anything back yet?
